Twilight and girl's camp?
How are the two possibly related? How does heroine factor in to this? Then again, it always does, somehow.

The weirdest things happen at 2:37 in the morning...
My musings at 2:37 AM. Includes the director's cut version of the iGod chat, as well as cruddy singing, greek symbols without subtitles, screaming, and more iGod.

Oliver!

Well, I suppose that this story can be started just as well from the middle. I decided to audition for the play "Oliver!". Why the play has an exclaimation point in it, I will never know. I thought that it couldn't be a half bad idea to try out for it. I had a few reasonas for doing so:

First off, it's children's theatere. It can't be THAT hard to get a lead role? Can it?
Second, I've got the hair for the part I want, all of you who know me, know that.
Thaid, well, there is no third, but this list looks important, so I will keep it. Besides, it's almost one in the morning, I'm too- too- somehting I don't know the word for, to bother changing it.

One of the tags for this post is NBP. That stands for New Blue Parrot, that's the name of the theatere company I'm doing this play with. Man, I can just see how that name got started. In the NBP children's theatere (they do community theatere too) people ages 7-18/19 audition and all get parts. Then again, a tree is considered a part. I came in to the auditions slightly nervus, I'll admit. But it helped that I smothered it with a nice dose of my big, fat, ego. I suffer from an enlarged ego. A terrible condition. I did wind up singing pretty well, shame that I missed two lines of my song. I looked like an idiot. I did get callbacks, though. That meant I was saved from treedom.  Yay! I got callbacks for:

Mr. Sowerberry: A tall, skinny, drunken, cruel, old, undertaker.
-and-
The Artful Dodger: A short...healthy, sober, kindish, young, theif-kid.

Exact opposites! What were they thinking? Isn't it kind of a one-or-another situation? Anyway, I got a sheet for each and memorized two pages and a song for each. I was the best sowerberry when it came time to do it in front of everyone and either second-best or best of the dodgers. I got picked to be dodger, the part I'd wanted all along!  Yay! I am now memorizing all of dodger's parts for the whole play. We go off book in 3-4 weeks and have only a few weeks after that before the real deal. I can't wait. I will reply with some of the lyrics to the songs in the play.

First Day of Operation!
Today, the Blogzone community has... expanded. This is my own personal blog and you are free to leave comments as you choose. We will be getting some new things in shortly. Mostly stylistic things, but also, um, people. *bites lip* Actually, that'll be a tough one. More to come. Really.
